“My follower shall perform ‘Purashchran’ (repeated recitations for at least a particular number) of the tenth ‘Skand’ of Shreemad Bhagawat, Vihnu-SahasraNam, etc. in a holy place as per their individual capacity. Such a Purshcharan helps one to attain desired objects”. – Bhagawan Shree Swaminarayan, Shikshapatri Shlok 118.
As per the command of Bhagawan Shree Swaminarayan in Shikshapatri, the follower should perform Purshcharan of Vishnu-SahasraNam and other approved scriptures at holy places. Purshcharan means repeated recitation of scripture or Stotras. Such Purshcharan fulfills one’s desires – is the boon of Bhagawan Shree Swaminarayan (Shikshapatri – Shloka 118).
