Professional Award Distribution Programme was organized on 2nd May, 2005 by Rotary D. 3050 at Tagore Hall – Ahmedabad, under the chairmanship of Professor Shree Mangalbhai Patel.
In the event of Rotary D. 3050 International centennial celebration the citizens who contributed a lot in various fields of work and the members of Rotary were honoured.
Along with the eminent luminaries, Sadguru Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami (Vedantcharya) also received the award by Rotary Governor and Mangalbhai Patel.
Rotary Governor Shree Joytarambhai Patel told that it’s beyond imagination, all branches of Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul contributed a lot in the field of education and society. Along with education the values of life are also taught to many students till date. Many wandering souls got the right direction. True life, scriptures etc. are nourished by them. Services to patients, blood donation, eye camps, dental camps, all illness therapy and neuro-camps are conducted. Many camps of veterinary treatment were organized. This organization always takes initiatives in calamities, farming, chuck dam, bore dam and in construction of wells. Its Water conservation movement is highly inspirable. In fact the vision of Rotary club and Gurukul is same, that’s why we like this organisation.
Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami explained that this is not my honour but it’s an honour of Rajkot Gurukul, its all branches and their saints who are servicing the society untiringly. He said that in our organisation we teach Science, Sports and Spirituality. If a wing of Science is added with the sight of spirituality it can fly high to reveal the mysteries which is helpful for mankind.
