Visit of American Students, 21st Dec ’06
Modern technology and scientific adaptations have played a vital roll to make the different cultures very close to each other. Creative altitude made the people from various backdrop & upbringings interested for mutual edification and benefits in several fields. Education is such one of the most apposite field for mutual exchange and development.
In the same intention, an educational cultural exchange trip organised by Mr. Bimal Patel of Shaniyo Travels for students from Orlando, Florida with their visit to an Indian school. Ten honours students between ages of 15 to 17, accompanied by their English teacher, Mrs. Nilam Patel and their science teacher Mrs. Yvmne Fasnett, were on visit of Gujarat to explore the aspects of this growing Nation. One of the highlights of their journey at India was visiting the students at SGVP.
At SGVP they were given sightsee of campus along with various co-educational and cultural assignments. They were impressed by advanced curriculum and international diversity. They participated in music and science classes and also enjoyed sports with the students on huge playgrounds of SGVP. They were highly touched by the generosity and sincerity of the faculty and staff and hope to build a long lasting relationship between American and Indian students.
Golden Achievement,  26-28th Dec ’06
Since the beginning of Darshanam Sanskrit Mahavidyalay at SGVP, Rushikumars (Students of Sanskrit Mahavidyalay) secures best positions in various fields of Sanskrit at national level too. This year Sanskrit elocution and Salaka competition was held for three days at famous Shrine Jagannath Puri, Orissa.
As a state representative, Master Vijay Joshi participated for the subject ‘Nyay’ and secured the gold medal. Moreover, in Salaka competition he won the silver medal. Salaka competition includes the thoroughly study of an entire Sanskrit subject and hard contest for hours together.
During the days of competition, Rushikumars and Pandits received the valuable benefit of service and close Darshan of Bhagawan Shree Jagannath. It was an outstanding experience of life for them.
Gau-Raksha Congregation,  02-03rd Jan ’07
A national level congregation for Cow & Cow-race survival was held at SGVP for two days by Gau-Raksha branch of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP). Over 350 representatives from Jammu, Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Hariyana, Panjab, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharastra, Bihar, Orissa,  Asam, Zarkhand, Chhattis Garh, Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Kerala etc were present. Gujarat was the host state for this national congregation.
Congregation was started with the Gau-poojan in modern and well equipped Gau-Shala of SGVP.Sadguru Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami welcomed Shree Ashok Sindhal (President, International VHP) and other representatives in a traditional way. Shree Bhupendrabhai Chudasama (Agriculture and animal welfare Minister, Gujarat) informed that in the field of preservation & bringing up of cow and cow-race Gujarat stands the first in the nation. Various kinds of research and developments are going on for the better survival and bringing up of Cow & cow-race. Several Gau-shala and centers are active in this direction.
Shree Ashok Sinthal appreciated the modern services provided by SGVP to cows and said that not only by law, but with the co-operation of all individuals nationwide preservation of cow & cow-race is quite possible. He encouraged the all supporters and workers in the field of Cow preservation.
Pujya Madhavpriyadasji Swami narrated that it is Gau-seva only which can realise the heaven on earth. Help of scientific equipments, appropriate cow preservation techniques and proper research & utilisation of products from cow can generate a healthy & hygiene atmosphere for better society. The solution of current chemical pollution lies in the protection of Cow-race.
t is notable that under the ‘Gau-Raksha movement’ launched by Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Rajkot in cooperation with Ghanshyam Gopalan Trust 500 villages are covered where villagers are encouraged every year for the welfare of cow & cow-race along with financial aid. Moreover, Gurukul honours the village doing the best work in this direction.
On this occasion Shree Hukamchand Chavala (Indore), Dr. Sunil Mansigh (Nagpur, patent holder for distilled cow-urine), Shree Kunvarjibhai Jadav (Gandhinagar), Shree Bhanvarlal Kothari(Rajsthan) and other dignitaries were present.
Hostel Week & Hostel Annual Day, 04-11th Jan ’07
With the intension to inculcate the value of leadership and managing power students are subjected for special campaign – Hostel week at SGVP. The occasion was the fifth anniversary of ‘Dharmajivan Hostel’ where students get the all benefits for curricular study with the facilities of international standards. Hostel week was arranged during 07th to 11th January, 2006. Senior students and monitors have shouldered entire responsibilities of chief rector to hygiene. Arrangements and daily routines were managed very effectively in the atmosphere of confidence and enthusiasm. On the last day celebration was arranged showing the capability of students in the presence of parents and guardians. Celebration was set also exclusively by students. Various stage shows and programmes were prepared and presented students. Parents were highly impressed with the development of their children.
The campaign was very successful to step up the self confidence and ability in the mind and life of the students. Inter-cooperation and understanding of students was really appreciable.
Tours  
During the school life, visit of various sites is essential for the all-round development of students. With this vision for the students of International School and Darshanam Sanskrit Mahavidyalay outings were arranged for historical, adventurous and recreation sites.
