With the inspirations of Sadguruvarya Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami, GPL-III – 2013, All India Open Day-Night cricket Tournament, the Biggest Cricket Tournament in Gujarat, arranged by SGVP Sports Academy, at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Vishwavidya Pratishthanam (SGVP), Chharodi, Ahmedabad played during April7 to Jun 09, 2013. In this tournament over 3000 players of 176 cricket teams from Gujarat, Maharastra, Goa, Madhya Pradesh participated including the players form IPL reams Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Chennai Super Kings, Deccan Charges & Saurastra, Rajsthan Ranji players also participated on turf pitch cricket ground of SGVP. With the end of final matches in Leather Ball & Tennis ball closing ceremony was celebrated in the presence of Pujya Balkrishnadasji Swami, Sponsor of SGVP Sports Academy Shree Vishrambhai Patel (Vijay Constructions, Seychelles), cricketer Munaf Patel and former cricketer Saiyad Kirmani.Leather ball FinalIn the final match of Leather ball, Vishwa XI – Mahesana team defeated SPIS cricket team – Ahmedabd and won the first prize of Rs. One Lac & winner trophy. While Runner up team was awarded with prize of Rs. 51 thousands & Trophy.Man of the series Ganshyam Patel received Rs. 21 thousands & trophy. Best Baller Mohddin Faiz and Best Batsman Rakesh Makawana were individually awarded with Rs. 11 thousands & trophy.Tennis ball FinalIn the final match of tennis ball, Umiya XI Kalol team defeated Gandhinagar XI team and won the first prize of Rs. One Lac & winner trophy. While Runner up team was awarded with prize of Rs. 51 thousands & Trophy.Man of the series Ankit Rana received Rs. 21 thousands & trophy. Best Baller Kamesh Prajapati and Best Batsman Mehul Patel were individually awarded with Rs. 11 thousands & trophy.
Awards and trophies were allotted by Pujya Balkrishnadasji Swami (SGVP), Sponsor Shree Vishrambhai (Vijay Constructions, Seychelles), cricketer Munaf Patel and former cricketer Saiyad Kirmani.In the occasional speech Shree Vishrambhai said that modern education with the spiritual & human values in SGVP gives pleasure and satisfaction.
