SGVP Surya Sports Academy’s GPL VI, All India Open Night Cricket Tournament (leather Ball) concluded at the onset of pleasant evening of May 7, 2016 in the auspicious presence of H.H. Sadguruvarya Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami, Pujya Balkrishnadasji Swami, Fabulous former Indian Test & ODI player Shree Chetan Sharma, Shree R. P. Dholariya (Hon. Justice, High court), Mr. Sandip Pradhan, (IAS, Director General, Sports Authority of Gujarat) and Mr. MSA KHAN, (Principal Commissioner, Income Tax) in SGVP cricket ground.
44 cricket teams from Maharastra (Mumbai), Delhi, Tamil Nadu (Chennai), Rajasthan (Udaipur,), Madhya Pradesh (Indore, Rewa), Uttar Pradesh (Varanasi) and Gujarat (Anand, Nadiad, Rajkot, Bhuj, Baroda, Gandhinagar, Magrol, Morbi, Godhra, Kalol, porbandar, & Ahmedabad) participated in this tournament. Many renowned IPL & Ranji players made this tournament a memorable with their splendid performance.
Anand Dare Dragons clinched the awesome GPL-VI trophy after defeating Nadiad Strikers and received cash prize of Rs. 2,51,000/- while the runners up received the cash prize of Rs. 1,25,000/-. Millennium Cricket Academy – A’bad was 3rd position in leather ball category he received a cash prize of Rs. 51,000/-, and Wolverines – Mehsana was 4th position he received a cash prize of Rs. 35,000/-, Arpit Vasavda, Rural District Cricket Ass. – Gondal was adjusted the Man of the Series in leather ball category he received a cash prize of Rs. 25,000/-, Anil Patel, Millennium Cricket Academy and Harsh Shastri, Millennium Cricket Academy were declared best batsman and best bowler respectively. Both received the cash prize of Rs. 15,000/-. Six batsmen received Ranger Bicycle for century and Saurabh Patel received Android mobile for maximum 16 sixers during the tournament.
