Golden Glory of Gurukul, 2003

Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan (A Deemed University) New Delhi had organized “National Level Traditional Sanskrit Elocution Competition” from 26th to 28th December at Jaipur, the Pink City of India.
 
Main objective of this competition is to protect, nourish & promote “Traditional Sanskrit” at all levels & all over by encouraging the Vedic Scholars from all the states to come on a common platform in the service of Divine Language Sanskrit.
 
The participants for the competition were the winners of State Level Competition which was held in the month of   September, 2003 under the auspices of State Government.
 
Shastri Bhaktavatsal Swami, Shastri Bhaktivedanta Swami & Parshad Sarjudas Bhagat represented Darshanam Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, Chharodi in the competition.
 
Shastri Bhaktavatsal Swami was awarded with a Gold Medal  for his classic representation on Mimamsa while Shastri Bhaktivedanta Swami was awarded with a Bronze Medal for his presentation on Vedanta & Parshad Sarjudas Bhagat was awarded with A Gold Medal for his superb presentation on Dharma Shastra.
 
In total Gujarat bagged 4 Gold Medals & 1 Bronze Medal & hence secured the second place at the national level.
 
Sanskrit Sahitya Academy, supported by Department of Education, Government of Gujarat must take necessary steps similar to the Southern States & encourage Vedic Scholars to compete more effectively at National Level.
 
20 years back Gujarat State had won the 1st Prize popularly known as “Vijayavaijayanti” with the right encouragement Gujarat can once again create history by bagging the 1st Prize, “Vijayvaijayanti in the successful years.
 
On the eve of this great achievement Sdg. Shree Devkrishnadasji Swami, Sdg. Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami, Sdg. Shree Balkrishnadasji Swami blessed the winners and congratulated Panditji Shree Rampriyaji, Principal of Darshanam Sanskrit Mahavidyalay.
