Since long it was the need of time for the more spacious Prayer hall to celebrate the daily and occasional events as the attendance of devotees is increasing constantly at Gurukul Ahmedabad. Moreover, spacious hostel building is also required for the better development of students. Including both the objectives a new structure is decided to construct with the name SHREE JOGI SWAMI PRARTHANA-BHAVAN & CHHATRALAY.
The foundation stone laying ceremony was held with the holy hands of Pujyapad Shree Jogi Swamiji on the auspicious day of the 175th birthday of Bhaktachintamani as on the same day and same tithi Sadguru Shree Nishkulanand Swami has completed the writing of Bhaktachintamani – a divine and desire fulfilling scripture of the Sampraday. The day was Asho Sud 13, Thursday Samvant 1887.
On this occasion of foundation stone laying ceremony a Bhaktachintamany Yagna was arranged during October 3rd to 05th, 2006 under the guidance of Sadguru Purani Swami Shree Bhaktiprakashdasji Swami. Moreover, Pujya Dharmapriyadasji Swami has completed the 101 recitation of Bhaktachintamani in this 175th year of Bhaktachintamani. As a Purashcharan of this great Anushthan Bhaktachuntamani Yagna was arranged. On the recitation of hymn of Bhaktachintamany Ahuties were offered. Fifty Haribhakatas and forty students participated in this Bhaktachintamani Yagna. Shree Suryakantbhai Prabhubhai Patel – the chief rector of hostel was the Yajman for this Yagna in the pious memory of his father Shree Prabhubhai Kanjibhai Patel (Dharampur).
On 05 October, Thursday 2006 morning in the divine presence of Pujyapad Shree Jogi Swamiji, the atmosphere was fill with the holy recitation of Vedas by learned Pandits, With the blessings of Sadguru Mahant Swami Shree Devkrishnadasji Swami and in the holy presence of Sadguru Purani Swami Shree Bhaktiprakashdasji Swami, Sadguru Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami, Sadguru Purani Shree Balkrishnadasji Swami and other saints, devotees and students the foundation stone for SHREE JOGI SWAMI PRARTHANA-BHAVAN & CHHATRALAY was laid with the holy hands of Pujyapad Shree Jogi swamiji. Shreeji-Prasadi stone and 101 worshipped bricks were used for this foundation.
In the succeeding gathering Sadguru Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami delivered the occasional speech and Pujya Purani Swami blessed the donors.
In the Bhaktachintamani Yagna saints offered the last Ahuti and all participants took the prasadam.
