Darshanam Sanskrit Mahavidyalay Inauguration, SGVP

VEDAS, the origin of Indian Culture are the rich treasure of knowledge. Key to this treasure is the divine Dev-Bhasha Sanskrit. All great Acharyas and even incarnations too emphasized on the traditional study of Indian scriptures. Any Sampraday of Hinduism can get the authentication as Vedic Sampraday only with its Sanskrit philosophy rival to teachings of Vedas, Upanishads.
Many learned saints of Bhagawan Shree Swaminarayan have proved the Swaminarayan Sampraday as a Vedic Sampraday in scriptural discourses at various places. And to propagate the true knowledge Bhagawan Shree Swaminarayan ordered in Shikshapatri to establish traditional school to spread this knowledge on earth.
With this inspiration in mind, Sadguru Shastriji Maharaj established Sanskrit Pathashala at Rajkot on Chitra Vad 13, April 20, 1955 Wednesday and inaugurated with the holy hands of Aacharya Shree Aanandprasadji Maharaj (Vadtal). This sowed seeds of Sanskrit study concerned carefully by Shastri Shree Madhavpriydasji Swami and Darshanam Sansakrit Mahavidyalay established a decade ago at SGVP. About 125 Rushikumars (Sanskrit Students) and saints are acquiring traditional knowledge along with modern subjects with latest technological aid and world class facilities for all-round development at no cost. Till the date saints and students from this Darshanam Sanskrit Mahavidyalay have acquired several Gold and Silver medals in national level exams and competitions.
On completion of new facilitate building to accommodate more students of Sanskrit inauguration was held with the holy hands of Pujyapad Shree Jogi Swamiji in the presence of many saints and social, political and learned dignitaries.
In the inaugural assembly Aacharya Rampriyaji (Principal, Darshanam Sanskrit Mahavaidyalay) delivered a welcome speech. Shastri Narayancharandasji Swami, Shree Bhagyesh Jha (Commissioner, information & broadcasting dept.), Shree Pankajbhai Jani (Chancellor, Shree Somnath Sanskrit Uni.), Shree TCA Ranganatahan (Chief General Manager, SBI) emphasized on inspiring work done by Gurukul in preservation and propagation of Indian Culture in their occasional speeches.
Sadguru Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami said that for the preservation of Indian culture for next generation we must uphold the Sanskrit language. A country which keeps language and culture in heart, head and hand of people, could achieve great development. Education in English is a social demand and education in Sanskrit is a cultural requirement.
Chairperson of celebration Shree Dineshbhai Trivedi (Health Minister, Central Government) said that such activities of preservation of language and culture set the bright future of country. Students from this Mahavidyalay will provide the light of knowledge to entire humanity. Saints of Gurukul are doing true patriotic service through this Mahavidyala. This Darshanam Sanskrit Mahavidyalay will be a pole star for cultural future of India.
Shree Nanjibhai Patel (Hyderabad) honoured with award ‘Dharma Ratna’ at New Delhi for his noble services to society wide fields. Gurukul Parivar offered warm congratulations with honour letter on this pleasant achievement.
Shree L T Rajani (Parliamentary Secretary), Shree O R Patel (Orpat Oreva group), Shree Naraharibhai Koya (Kolkatta), Shree Vallabhbhai Savani (Surat), Shree Keshubhai and other dignitaries had adorned the occasion.
Pujya Shree Chidanandji (Muniji) (Parmarth Niketan, Rushikesh), Shree Rameshbhai Oza (Bhagwat Orator), Shree Deviprasadji Maharaj (Aanadabava Ashram, Jamnagar), other religious dignitaries and Haribhaktas from India and abroad also conveyed heartily compliments on this divine occasion.
