Vasant Panchami, the day to welcome the Vasant, the spring, the king of seasons bears the great importance in Indian tradition. In the Swaminarayan Sampraday too it marks glorious occasion as the day of Shaikshapatri Jayanti, birthdays of Sadguru Shree Brahmanand Swami and Sadguru Shree Nishkulanand Swami falls on this day of Vasant Panchami. Moreover, Sadguru Shastriji Maharaj established Gurukul tradition in Shree Swaminarayan Sampraday on this day and Pratishtha of Shree Ram-Shayam-Ghanshyam Maharaj at SGVP was done on this auspicious day of Vasant Panchami. On February, 08 2011 was the 6th Annual Pratishtha Utsav of Shree Ram-Shya-Ghanshaym with the holy blessings of Pujyapad Shree Jogi Swamiji. Pratishtha Utsav, Shikshpatri jayanti and Shakotsav were celebrated in the pious presence of Pujya Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami, Pujya Purani Swami Bhaktiprakashdasji Swami and Pujya Purani Shree Balkrishnadasji Swami.During the Poojan, Maha-Abhishek was performed with Panchamrut, Panch-Gavya, holy water form shrines, Kesar-Jal, fruit juices, herbal medicines, Chandan and flowers. Abhishek was followed by the recitation of Shikshapatri. Pujya Purani Swami Shree Bhaktiprakashdasji Swami and Pujya Purani Shree Balkrishnadasji Swami performed the Poojan of Shikshapatri with Jan-magal and Tulasi.Marvelous Annakut was offered and Pujya Madhavpriyadasji Swami explained the importance Shakotsav and traditions of several celebrations of Indian Culture and also of Shree Swaminaraya Sampraday which fall on this auspecious day. Pujya Purani Swami blessed Yajmans and all participants.Yajmans of Maha-Abhishek, Annakut and Shakotsav : Shree Jitubhai Patel (Botswana), Shree Prakashabhai Kamaliya (Ranchi), Shree Kapurchandbhai Shah (Nairobi), Student Master Tejas Narayanbhai varsani (London), Shree Dhirubhai Aswar (Vadodara), Shree Nirmalbhai Thakkar (Vadodara), Shree Kantibhai (Rajkot), Shree Bharatbhai Joshi (Ahmedabad)In the end all participants enjoyed the Prasad of Shakotsav.
