The day of Vasant Panhami has great importance in Indian culture in many ways. Especially for Gurukul Parivar it comprises with five holy events – birthday of Sadguru Shree Brahmanand Swami & Sadguru Shree Nishkulanand Swami, Shikshapatri Jayanti, Foundation day of Gurukul tradition by HH Shastriji Maharaj Shree Dharmajivandasji Swami and the Pratishtha of Shree Ram, Shaym & Ghanshyam Maharaj at SGVP, Ahmedabad.
On the pious day of Vasant Pachami, 10 February, 2019 – 14th annual Pratishtha Utsav along with Shakotsav was celebrated by Gurukul Parivar with great pleasure & devotion in the holy presence of Pujya Purani Swami Shree Bhaktiprakashdasji Swami, Purani Shree Balkrishnadasji Swami, Purani Shree Hariswarupdasji Swami, saints, students and devotees.
On the eve of Vasant Panchami Jal Yatra was organised with holy water from the famous Prasadi – step well of Adalaj. On the day of Patotsav, in the early morning Abhishek was carried out with Panchamrut, Kesar-jal, Tirth-Jal, Herbal juices, Chandan and flowers as per Vedic rituals.
It was followed by Shikshapatri recitation and Poojan, on account of Shikshapatri Jayanti.
The event was also graced by Shree Jignesh Dada, a famous Bhagwat orator. He visited Shree Jogi Swami Hruday Kutir, Darshanam Sanskrit Mahavidyalay, Hospital etc and highly impressed.
Sadguruvarya Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami addressed the assembly by audio-visual medium from Australia. Pujya Purani Swami, Pujya Balkrishnadasji Swmai, Shree Shamji Bhagat and Shree Jignesh Dada also delivered the occasional speech.
A marvellous Annakut consisting sweet & fried dishes weighing over 500 Kgs. was offered to Shree Ram Shyam Ghanshyam Maharaj.
With inspiration of Pujya Swamiji, students and volunteers personally distributed entire Annakut in schools of Divyang children, slum areas and road side areas.
In the all participants enjoyed the Prasad of Shakotsav.
વસંત પંચમીના શુભ દિવસે શ્રીસ્વામિનારાયણ ગુરુકુલ એસજીવીપીમાં બિરાજીત શ્રી રામ – શ્યામ અને ઘનશ્યામ મહારાજનો વાર્ષિક પાટોત્સવ, પૂજ્ય પુરાણી સ્વામી શ્રી ભકિતપ્રકાશદાસજી સ્વામી, પૂજ્ય પુરાણી શ્રી બાલકૃષ્ણદાસજી સ્વામી અને પૂજય પુરાણી શ્રી હરિસ્વરુપદાસજી સ્વામીના સાનિધ્યમાં ધામધુમથી ઉજવવામાં આવ્યો હતો.
વહેલી સવારે વૈદિક મંત્રો સાથે પંચામૃત, કેસર જળ, તીર્થ જળ, ઔષધિઓના રસ, વગેરેથી શ્રી રામ શ્યામ ઘનશ્યામ મહારાજનો અભિષેક કરવામાં આવ્યો. તેમજ ફુલોની પાંખડીઓથી ઠાકોરજીનું પૂજન કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું.
સુપ્રસિદ્ધ ભાગવત કથાકાર આદરણીય શ્રી જીજ્ઞેશ દાદાએ પણ આ પ્રસંગે પધારી આનંદની લાગણી વ્યક્ત કરી હતી.
શિક્ષાપત્રી જયંતિ નિમિત્તે સામૂહિક શિક્ષાપત્રી પાઠ અને પૂજન બાદ ૧૧૧ વાનગીઓનો અન્નકૂટ ઠાકોરજીને ધરાવવામાં આવ્યો હતો.
સદ્ગુરુવર્ય શાસ્ત્રી શ્રી માધવપ્રિયદાસજી સ્વામીની પ્રેરણાથી, એસજીવીપીના વિદ્યાર્થીઓ અને સ્વયંસેવકોએ જાતે જઇ અમદાવાદ તેમજ ગાંધીનગર વિસ્તારના વૃદ્ધાશ્રમ, દિવ્યાંગ ગૃહ, અનાથાશ્રમ, હોસ્પિટલ તેમજ ઝુંપડપટ્ટીમાં રહેતા ગરીબોને અન્નકૂટનો પ્રસાદ વહેંચ્યો હતો.
અંતમાં સૌએ શાકોત્સવનો પ્રસાદ લીધો હતો.
