The pious month of Shravan is preferred for the more religious recitations, spiritual events as well as for doing penances as per the traditions of Indian Culture.
In the same manner, Gurukul arranges Gyanstra, Brahmsatra, Abhyudaysatra for the spiritual benefits to all. At Gurukul Ahmedabad, 30th Gyansatra was arranged during 05 August to 12 August, 2006.
In addition to this, during current year our beloved and great saint Pujyapad Shree Jogi Swamiji completed 101 years as his date of birth is 06 May, 1906 Samvant 1961 Vaishakh Sud 2, Saturday. On this pious and great occasion a special Bhaktisatra was held with spiritual features.
During 01 August to 05 August, 2006 an incessant Dhoon was performed with brimming enthusiasm of saints, students and devotees in large extent. On 01 August Pujyapad Shree Jogi Swamiji started the Dhoon and till 05 August it was continued for 101 hours with great enthusiasm and pleasure just to express the love and reverence to Pujyapad Shree Jogi Swamiji. Devotees form far places and from Rajkot, Surat also took part cheerfully in this Dhoon. Along with 101 hours incessant Dhoon, recitation of Bhaktachinatamani, Mantra-lekhan and Dandavat Pranam were performed by the students of Gurukul Ahmedabad continuously for 101 hours. However, the zeal of saints and devotees was great throughout the Dhoon, it was at peak during the divine presence of Pujyapad Shree Jogi Swamiji at that place.
A Vyakhyan-mala ‘Sant Param Hitakari’ was arranged during the Gyansatra. In this Vyakhyan-mala Sadguru Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami, Purani Shree Gyanswarupdasji Swami, Purani Shree Hariswarupdasji Swami, Shree Haribhai Kothari -Mumbai, Shree Lakshamanbhai Adroja –Rajkot delivered the inspiring speeches on God-centered life of Pujyapad Shree Jogi Swamiji.
During the Gyanstra, daily in the morning 101 group Mahapooja was also arranged.
Moreover, a blood donation camp was held on 06 August for 101 bottles of blood however 144 bottles of blood was donated.
On 05 August, the first day of Gyansatra after the Pothi-Poojan, a marvellous Shobha-yatra was arranged from the house of Yajmans to the Gurukul. Shobha-yatra was welcomed at Gurukul.
With the Poojan of Thakoraji with Tulasi-patra along with recitation of Janmangal Mantras, 101 hours incessant Dhoon was completed and Gyansatra was inaugurated. After the Poojan of Bhaktachintamani and the orator by Yajamans, Katha was delivered. During this Gyansatra, Purani Shree Krishnapriyadasji Swami, Shastri Shree Haripriyadasji Swami, Purani Shree Nandkishordasji Swami and Shastri Shree Vedantswarupdasji Swami delivered the Katha on Bhaktachintamani.
Kirtan-bhakti at the time of Utthapan of Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj was one of the most pleasurable event of the Gyansatra.
Seeing the increasing attendance of devotees more spacious prayer hall is essential to celebrate the daily and occasional events. Moreover, spacious hostel building is also required for the better development of students. Including both the objectives a new structure is decided to construct with the name SHREE JOGI SWAMI PRARTHANA-BHAVAN & CHHATRALAY. On 09 August the lay out of proposed structure was inaugurated with the holy hands of Pujyapad Shree Jogi Swamiji.
On the same day, a warm welcome was offered to Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami and saints on completion of their Satsang-yatra of UK and other countries.
New Publications : During the Gyansatra, 1) ‘Narsaiya Ni Hundi’ -VCD 2) ‘Dikara Ne Jivat-dan’ -VCD, both Delivered by Pujya Purani Shree Gyanswarupdasji Swami 3) Pujya Shree Jogi Swami – VCD English version 4) Calendar were released.
In his holy speech, Sadguru Mahant Swami Shree Devkrishnadasji Swami extended his blessings to all participants and Yajmans of this Gyanstra.
In the last session the day, various cultural programmes were presented by the students of SGVP as well as Gurukul Ahmedabad. Students of Darshanam Sanskrit Mahavidyalay, SGVP demonstrated audio visual presentations on Vachanamrut and supremacy of Bhagawan Shree Swaminarayan as stated in scripture – Brahmsutra. They also effectively presented patriotic action songs, Shastrarth (Debate) among Mimansa, Sahitya, Nyay, Vedant & Vyakaran which are the various doctrines of Indian culture & traditions.
Shree D K Shah – Mumbai, Shree Rameshbhai Valajibhai Viththani – Dholaka, Jyotishi Shree Pathakaji – Ahmedabad, Shree Dharamashibhai Narashibhai Patel – Devpura were the chief Yajmans and Shree Arvindbhai Jadavajibhai Patel (Vimal Powder group) – Ahmedabad was the Co-yajman of this marvellous Gyanstra.
