School Endowment Ritual - Gurukul Hyderabad
In December, 2004 Tsunami wave severely ruined the social life on the seashore areas of Andhrapradesh and Tamilnadu of India. Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul, Hyderabad provided instant relief services in the affected areas. Under the rehabilitation project Gurukul constructed two school buildings in Machhalipatanam district of Andhrapradesh. On completion of construction both the schools were donated to Society on 11 June, 2006.
At village Jilkaldindi, Shree Swaminarayan High School is constructed with the financial aid of Shree Katch Satsang Swaminarayan Temple, Harrow-London (UK).
At village Garaldiba, Shree Swaminarayan Mandal Parishad Primary School is constructed with financial aid of Shree Swaminarayan Temple, Chicago and Dallas (US).
P.P. Savani Vidyabhavan, Surat and Ramkrishna Vidyabhavan, Surat also supported financially in the construction of these schools.
On 11 June, 2006 both the schools were bestowed to the society with the holy hands of Sadguru Purani Shree Devprasaddasji Swami in the presence of Shree Venkat Ramaiya (MLA, Machhalipatanam District), Shree Venkteshwar Rao (Municipality chairman), Shree Pitambareshwar Rao (Counsellor) and other dignitaries.ds distributed 13,000 food packets, 4200 blankets, 800 bags rice, 500 stoves, 10000 clothes, 5000 saries, mats, medicines and other essential kits in affected areas.
