Jalzilani Ekadashi Celebration, Droneshwar - Gurukul Rajkot

As proclaimed in the Purans of Indian Philosophy, during the Chaturmas (period of four months of Monsoon) Bhagawan takes on the snake-bed of Sheshhnarayan in the sea. Resting on serpent shows the dominance of Bhagawan on death. On snake-bed He changes flank and waves get created in the surrounding seawater. Bhagawan swings in this oscillating lap of water. To rejoice this occasion devotees celebrate Jal-zilani festival on Bhadarva Sud Ekadashi to swing the God in the fresh water of river and ponds.
