Sport Week, Upavit Sanskar & other activities - SGVP ( 5 to 17 Dec.-2005)

The long-awaited day of Annual Sports arrived on 5th Dec’05 with frosty breeze of winter. A sense of excitement was in the air and everyone was looking very active and cheerful. Inauguration ceremony was held at 11.00 am and the guest of honour Shree Shankarbhai addressed the audience after unfurling of flag. A march past of contestants attracted the attention of all which was followed by the oath ceremony.

Dharmajivan Yuva Shibir & Sant Shibir - SGVP

Dharmajivan Yuva Shibir was organised on 4th, 5th and 6th Nov. ’05 at SGVP in the holy presence of Pujya Shree Jogi Swamiji, with the inspiration of Sadguru Mahant Swami Shree Devkrishnadasji Swami and Sadguru Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami, blessings of Pujya Balkrishnadasji Swami and under the guidance of Pujya Dharamvallabhdasji Swami. This Shibir was conducted with an intention to nourish the spirituality and to boost the virtues of obedience.

Sharad Poornima Festival - SGVP

Coming year is the Shatamrut (175) year of scripture Bhaktachintamani created by Sadguru Shree Nishkulanand Swami. In this accordance Sharad Poornima festival was organised along with Anushthan of Bhaktachintamani, Abhishek of Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj, Sarvamangal Yagna and Mahapooja at SGVP, in the holy presence of Pujya Jogi Swamiji and elder saints.

Sanskrit Elocution Competition - SGVP

Every year ‘Darshnam Sanskrit Mahavidyalay’ of SGVP attains new heights of success. A contest of ‘Sanskrit Elocution’ at state level was organized at Suryapur Pathashala - Surat from 28th to 30th August, 2005 in which 108 contestants of 18 Sanskrit Schools have taken part. An elocution was conducted in which out of eight subjects of scriptures in four subjects gold medal, silver medal in two and bronze medal in two subjects were secured.

Puran Parayan & Religious Tradition

After performing Pooja, Purani Swami Shree Balkrishnadasji addressed that the decision of the conducting the group recitation of these Purans has been taken by Pujya Sadguru Shashtri Shree Madhavpriyadasji to preserve our Vedic heritage. He expressed his hope that Rishikumars – students of Sanskrit Mahavidyalay would give us opportunity to hear the gist of Puranic Katha.

Excursions - SGVP

It is very much necessary for an overall development of student that they should have the knowledge of modern technology, along with higher studies they should have courageous nature, attraction for their own culture, feeling of pride and interest towards beauty of nature. Special programmes are arranged to develop these qualities in the students of SGVP.

Divine Darshan

According to Indian almanac the month of Vaishak and Jeshta are considered to be the months of summer. During this period the heat of summer is at its climax. Especially, during such summer time the devotees of Bhakti Sympraday offer to God the dresses made up of sandalwood paste and flowers just to provide a comfort of cooling. The Darshan of God in these dresses is divine and attractive. In Gurukul and temples the dresses made up of sandalwood paste and flowers are offered to Ghanshyam Maharaj and deities.

Summer Cricket Camp-(Kiran More International Cricket Association) Gurukul-SGVP

SGVP International School organised a Summer Cricket Camp to train the cricket enthusiasts under the banner of well renowned Kiran More International Cricket Association (KMICA). It has been governed by the chairman of Indian Cricket Team Selection Committee and also the former wicket-keeper of Indian Cricket Team Kiran More. The main objective of this camp is to make the participants more efficient and expert so that they can keep a hand-eye-coordination to play impeccable knocks and also get expertise in the field of cricket.
