Campaign for Water Reservoirs
It is said that 'Water is life'. The main issue of India, nowadays, is water. This issue is not created by nature. This has been created by human beings. Due to miuse of water the cavity of earth becomes waterless.
Pujya H.H. Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami realized this problem many years ago. He started the campaign of water conservation with religious discourses. He wandered villages to villages during scorching summer and that's why we make great efforts for creating huge temples. While making the people consciuos he said. "We are Indians, we have love for temples but currently the water conservation is the need of the time. If you want to survive, create water temples - JAL MANDIR means check dams."
The word of 'Jalmandir' for check-dam started echoing in the inmost dimension of heart. Gradually this campaign of water conservation because the revolution. The Government and other philanthropic organization became active in this campaign. Approx. one thousand jalmandirs have been built by the inspiration of Pujya Swamiji in nearly 108 villages.
The issue of environment is connected with water. The work in four phases is goin on by Gurukul to tackle the issue of water and environment.
